From those airports, they could take one bus or cab from the airport to the Amtrak station, then board a train directly to PH. You may want to compare airfares to Kalamazoo, Flint or Lansing with DTW. About the only thing within a half-mile of the transit facility are a Taco Bell, McDonald's, KFC, pharmacy and car repair garage. Indian Trails only has two buses per day at 9:45 am and 12:30 pm, the trip takes two hours to Flint, so they'd have lots of time to kill. The Indian Trails bus and Amtrak train stop at the same facility. In Flint, they'd transfer to an Amtrak train to PH. Then they'd walk about 7 blocks to the Greyhound station (1001 Howard Street) to catch the Indian Trails bus to Flint.
